―「ぼけあし」って通じる言葉だよね？
　と、言われた。外注さんへの指示に書こうとして、急にひっかかったらしい。通じるんじゃねえの？　つーか、あなたの方がキャリアがあるのでは、この業界。でも、そういう、世間（業界）一般を可視化する方法ってあるでしょう、Google先生だ。

　　……通じる、のでは？　写真関係、それにPhotoshop、Illustrator。でも、正しい表記というか、そういうのがわからん。確固とした用語ではないのかしらん。しかも、ちょっと油断すると「二走ボケ」あたりが引っかかって、そんなに多いともいえない。ひょっとしたら、ちゃんとした用語があるのかもしれない。でも、いいや、底辺の世界さ。それに、ニュアンスでわかるでしょう、たぶん。

5. BOKEASHI
The sentence is intriguing, but I don't remember hearing ASHI used this way before. Wild guess: foreground? ("to create an image with a good sense of depth, it's important to have the foreground out of focus. . ." ???

BOKEASHI is a very subjective term, and refers to the *quality* of the out-of-focus image. Some lenses have more acceptable out-of-focus images than others. It is hard to describe exactly what the difference consists of, though, so won't attempt it here.

　……よくわからないが、英語の人をなやませているのが引っかかった。翻訳ってのは辞書に載ってない言葉も、ググってもいまいちな言葉も出てくることあるだろうし、大変そうだなぁ。
